Hawai’i Waterfall

There are numerous tall waterfalls in Hawai’i, each one magnificent. This is my only “reduction” woodcut (in Masonite, no less), which means more and more of the plate is carved away for each successive color, which means you can’t go back and reprint the earlier colors. The plate is basically destroyed, and the edition is final.

This artwork is hand printed from wood composite blocks (plates) on archival printmaking paper, using oil-based inks. The blocks are hand cut. Each separate color requires its own block. 3 colors. Maximum image size: 7″ x 21″ Overall paper size: 7.5″ x 22″

This edition is limited to 10 copies, and each print is numbered, titled and signed by the artist. Each print is considered an original, and can vary slightly from the others. 2018

My print(s) are carefully packaged between multiple sheets of cardboard, matboard and padding, insured to the value of the artwork, and shipped via USPS.
